Bringing diverse and extensive experience in healthcare, clinical research, product development, and business operations. The Advisory Board Additions

Jay Burrell is the Chief Revenue Officer of RealNetworks, Inc. (NASDAQ: RNWK) where he leads worldwide sales and business development for RealNetworks’ facial recognition platform, SAFR. Burrell brings more than 20 years of leadership experience at esteemed companies, including executive roles at GE, IBM, and Microsoft.

Prior to joining RealNetworks, Burrell served as the senior vice president and general manager of digital technology at GE Healthcare where he launched the digital platforms within one of the world’s largest healthcare companies. Before that, he oversaw IBM Cloud as global vice president, where he was instrumental in the initial stage of IBM establishing itself as one the leading players in global cloud infrastructure and services.

Folasade (Fola) May, MD, PhD, MPhil, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Division of Digestive Diseases at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and a staff physician in gastroenterology in the Veterans Health Administration (VHA). Dr. May graduated from Yale University with a degree in molecular, cellular, and developmental biology and then attended the University of Cambridge (UK) to obtain a Master of Science in Epidemiology. She attended Harvard Medical School and trained in internal medicine at Massachusetts General Hospital before joining the UCLA Specialty Training and Advanced Research (STAR) program, where she completed advanced training in gastroenterology and received her PhD in health policy and management from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health.

Currently, she is the director of quality improvement in digestive diseases for UCLA Health and she practices general gastroenterology in the VHA. Her health services research includes qualitative studies and quantitative analyses using large national- and state-level databases to examine the impact of patient, provider, and system factors on colorectal cancer screening uptake and screening disparities. This work includes the evaluation of interventions to improve colorectal cancer outcomes at UCLA, in the VHA, and in Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) in Los Angeles.

She is passionate about improving awareness about cancer prevention and colorectal cancer screening, and she is involved in advocacy at the state and national levels to develop and encourage policy to improve health care delivery.

Josh White is a multi-dimensional Sales and Marketing Leader who leverages a keen perspective for value creation, coaching, and strong culture to bring about breakthrough growth. He has a proven track record for achieving stand-out success across multiple industries, including finance, med-tech, retail, medicine and commercial real estate.

His medical device leadership spans more than 15 years and includes roles in business development at Medegen, which was successfully sold to Carefusion. After Medegen Josh held various positions at Kimberly-Clark's medical products spin-off Halyard Health. At Halyard Josh led global strategic marketing and business development for the medical device division and eventually led North American sales for the pain management division. Currently, Josh is the managing director of Mid-Atlantic Realty Partners, a short-term leasing practice that includes flexible office and co-working products.

At the foundation of Josh’s success has been a positive and winning attitude that comes from an athletic career which includes an NCAA Lacrosse Championship at Princeton University and a military career in special operations with the U.S. Army’s 2nd Ranger Battalion.

Bill Clark is the Head Football Coach for the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). Prior to UAB, Clark was the head coach at Jacksonville State in 2013 and led the Gamecocks to an 11-4 record, their most victorious since the 1992 campaign when JSU won the NCAA Division II National Championship. Clark joined South Alabama in 2008 after spending nine years as head coach at Prattville (Ala.) High School where he led the Lions to national prominence. Following his final season at Prattville High School, he was named the Alabama High School Athletic Association Coach of the Year and was also selected as the Schutt Southeast Regional Coach of the Year.

He graduated from Jacksonville State University in 1990 with a degree in physical education and began his football coaching career that year. His head coaching record at UAB is 25-14 and he is 36-18 as a Division I head coach. He was named the 2018 FWAA Eddie Robinson National Coach of the Year, as well as being named the CBS Sports National Coach of the Year for a second consecutive year.

Clark is active in the healthcare community, helping UAB Hospital attract top talent from around the country. He is a staunch advocate for the City of Birmingham and has played a critical role in attracting new business and innovation to Alabama.

Gib Dunham is the Chief Investment Officer at Bridgeway Wealth Partners where he is responsible for originating public and private investments, including private equity, real estate and hedge funds. He was formerly a managing director with Hywin Capital Management, a $20 billion Asian institution, where he ran the team overseeing alternative allocations. Prior to Hywin, he was the chief investment officer for Alternative Capital Advisers, a multi-strategy hedge fund allocator.

Prior to that he was a partner at a $4 billion multi-family office responsible for security selection, risk management and alternative allocations. Before that he was a vice president at Emigrant Capital, a captive private equity fund which was sponsored by a $10 billion bank. Previous to that Dunham was a portfolio manager at a $4.5 billion hedge fund group where he was seeded and launched his own fund. He began his career in investment banking at Bear, Stearns & Co., Inc. as an analyst in the telecommunications group.

He is a graduate of Dartmouth College where he majored in political science. He has received his CFA, CAIA, CMT, QFA and CIC designations, and has a certificate in structured products. He is the treasurer on a volunteer basis and a board member for the Carter Burden Network, and he is on the investment committee for the COTE endowment portfolio.
